On March 2, police headed over to the Tilted Kilt Irish Pub in Johns Creek to investigate a report they had just received in regards to a battery. When police arrived, another officer had already detained the suspect, identified as Todd Hulsey. Hulsey told police that he punched two men while he was in the bar because they were ‘talking about him.’ Hulsey claims that while he was inside the bar, a man approached him and told that two other guys in the bar were going to attack him. Hulsey says he reacted by going up to his two would-be attackers and punching them in the face. However, when police spoke to the victims, they both provided a completely different story. Victim one told police that he was standing at the bar conversing with a friend when Hulsey came up from behind and punched him in the left eye for no reason. Victim two had slightly more details. According to the second victim, he was with victim one at the bar when a Deftones song came on. Victim two then commented too himself that he loved the Deftones. At that point, Hulsey told victim two that the Deftones “[sucked]” and he punched him in the back of the head. Hulsey did not deny the victim’s version of the story. Hulsey was arrested on charges of battery.
